Sophie Libion, Gregoire De Bruyn, Paul Franck and Christophe Clausset will be our local community hosts and will be hosting #TheMotoSocialNAMUR on a monthly basis throughout the season. We'll be kicking off the season with our first event on Tuesday May 28, 2019. Spread the word & come hang with us! EVERYONE’S WELCOME! EVERYONE’S INVITED! BIKE OR NO BIKE! GOOD VIBES ONLY!
We're MORE ABOUT THE PEOPLE.
MOTORCYCLES ARE THE COMMON THREAD.
Our vision for #TheMotoSocialNAMUR is the same as all the other cities. "To build community and to build camaraderie." Since the beginning we've worked hard to create an event that was more about the people than the bikes themselves and an event that helped people connect with one another. We wanted to create an event that made our big cities feel a bit smaller and got people excited about seeing one another. Having hosted TheMotoSocial in Toronto now since 2013, we're starting to see new friendships forming as well as a real positive shift in the culture of our Toronto community. There's a real sense of unity being felt across the city and we want to create that environment in every major city around the world. That's really what we're all about and what we're hoping to cultivate in the city of Namur.

COMMUNITY HOSTS of #THEMOTOSOCIALNAMUR
I’m a real travel addict & adventurer. An independent woman who loves making things happen and bringing projects to life. I have a diploma in marketing from where I eventually pivoted into real estate. Over the last year I’ve transitioned to launch Globe Throttle with my partner Greg. It’s all about vintage motorcycles!
My passion for motorcycles sparked up when I travelled to Australia. I had the fantastic opportunity while mustering cows in the outback to ride dirt bikes in the Aussie bush! This addiction grew as I started taking longer motorcycle trips on my BMW F650GS. I currently ride a lightly customized 1979 Yamaha XS650.
The motorcycle community for me is a huge net of passionate and inspiring people. I want to be a part of connecting this beautiful community and continue meeting more of these amazing people. Join us at #TheMotoSocial.
As a graphic designer, the arts have always attracted me. Either drawing or photography, the image for me is a real way of expression and the lines of our bikes are a real source of inspiration!
Curious epicurean and self-taught by nature, many things fascinate me. To be honest, motorcycles have always been my childhood dream! A dream that by pursuing has given me the chance to build my own path and maintain enthusiasm through all of my life’s steps.
Today, as a real estate agent, my bike for me is the best way to recharge my batteries when I feel the need. The feeling of freedom I experience when being on my bike became vital over the last few years. I’ve never found such solidarity and generosity than in the motorcycle community. Each moment is built on real camaraderie. As I love to say “la vie est plus belle, le cul sur une selle!” - (life is more beautiful with the ass on a saddle!)
GREGOIRE DE BRUYN
No day is like the other… One day I might be busy working on the construction site and then be calmly rebuilding one of my motorcycles’ engines the next.
I became a motorcycle mechanic by passion. I’ve been disassembling and rebuilding my bikes for years now. Sometimes because they’ve broken-down but mostly just for fun.
My first bike was a dirt bike, then I bought an H.D Dyna. I also eventually added a KTM 990 Adventure to the collection. I currently ride an old Shovelhead that we imported from Canada.
Motorcycles have always been a real passion of mine and sharing that with others is why we created the Globe Throttle project. I’m very excited that it’s growing like it is. It’s a dream come true.
I’ve lived an adventurous life travelling the world. Exploring the four corners of the earth and experiencing so many different cultures has inspired me to live a life fully focussed on my passions. Vintage motorcycles, garage culture, rock & blues, friendship and building community around all of these things is what I’m most passionate about.
As an older rider and bikes collector, I share my love for motorcycles with a great bunch of people called “Dandy Pétrolette” - an inclusive group who share in a beautiful array of activities all organized around the Café Racer & Custom scene - including the Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride that we organize here in Namur.
It’s through the Dandy Pétrolettes that my friendship with Sophie and Gregoire from Globe Throttle has developed. I’m very excited to keep building our community and bringing TheMotoSocial to Namur with Sophie, Greg and Frank. For me, motorcycles represent a community with richness and possibilities but above everything; a way of life!
