We're MORE ABOUT THE PEOPLE.
MOTORCYCLES ARE THE COMMON THREAD.
Our vision for #TheMotoSocialCALGARY is the same as all the other cities. "To build community and to build camaraderie." Since the beginning, we've worked hard to create an event that was more about the people than the bikes themselves and an event that helped people connect with one another. We wanted to create an event that made our big cities feel a bit smaller and got people excited about seeing one another. Having hosted TheMotoSocial in Toronto now since 2013, we're starting to see new friendships forming, as well as a real positive shift in the culture of our Toronto community. There's a real sense of unity being felt across the city and we want to create that environment in every major city around the world. That's really what we're all about and what we're hoping to cultivate in Calgary.

COMMUNITY HOSTS of #themotosociALCALGARY
My first motorcycle as a kid was a dirtbike. My first motorcycle as an adult was a Harley. Now, one forsaken build and eight HD's later, with four decades under my belt, I am still a Harley-only man but have come to appreciate the diversity of the two wheeled culture. I am a full time visual artist, part time barber and all time human; ideas excite me, helping others ignites me and living simply inspires me. I run two small clothing labels, live sober, ride a real fun FXDX and I like humans more than animals, but I like animals a bunch too. I met Vik via some mutual friends in Toronto and I guess we just got to understanding that we are built from the same cloth, so why not light up Calgary with TheMotoSocial vibe, right? I am on the Lead Team here, I am glad to meet you and I am hoping you'll enjoy what we get going here. Welcome to #TheMotoSocialCALGARY.
I am a full-time photographer, artist, and entrepreneur based in Calgary, Alberta. I’m passionate about visual arts, photography, entrepreneurship and community building. I love meeting new adventurous and creative people - especially those with a good sense of humour. I currently ride a 2018 HD Sportster 48 Special that I bought last year. I’ve met some really amazing people since having bought my bike and I love how easy it is to meet people with a motorcycle. I’m really honoured to be on TheMotoSocial team here in Calgary and to be building this inclusive community with such an amazing team of people. I like to innovate, inspire others and build people up to bring fresh perspective to improve everything that we do. I believe we can become more interesting versions of ourselves and learn to love life on a different level.
My background in racing and riding motorcycles is my entire life story. My passion for motorcycles started at the young age of two when parents bought me my first motorcycle. I grew up in the off-road motorcycle community where every weekend was spent riding with friends and family. As I became older we travelled as a family across Canada, the United States, Europe and Japan, to events such as XGames, Hidaka Two Day Enduro, AMA Endurocross and the ISDE - giving me the opportunity to compete against some of the best riders in the world. While I love everything about racing, the people I meet along the way inspire me to continue to do what I do every day. Motorcycles put me in touch with some of the most wonderful people in the world and I am looking forward to meeting YOU at #TheMotoSocialCALGARY!!
Motorcycles have truly brought positivity and freedom into our lives. Ever since Andrew swung his leg over his first bike 8+ years ago, Stacey has been right there behind him ready to hit the road. Chasing adventure and spending our time outdoors has been the most rewarding life modifier. We love the open road, whether we’re riding together, solo, or doubling up, the simplicity and awareness of riding a motorcycle brings us a sense of calm. We feel so fortunate that we’ve met so many like minded people just by being on two wheels. Between the two of us we’ve had numerous bikes, but shortly after starting our little family we’ve decided to take on our first bike build from the ground up. With Andrew’s mechanical background he is taking on much of the labour, and Stacey’s artistic background in custom motorcycle detailing, this bike will truly be a labour of love.
