We're MORE ABOUT THE PEOPLE.
MOTORCYCLES ARE THE COMMON THREAD.
Our vision for #TheMotoSocialTORONTO is the same as all the other cities. "To build community and to build camaraderie." Since the beginning, we've worked hard to create an event that was more about the people than the bikes themselves and an event that helped people connect with one another. We wanted to create an event that made our big cities feel a bit smaller and got people excited about seeing one another. Having hosted TheMotoSocial in Toronto now since 2013, we're starting to see new friendships forming, as well as a real positive shift in the culture of our Toronto community. There's a real sense of unity being felt across the city and we want to keep creating that positive environment via our events so that others can find new friends and feel more connected and at home in the city. That's really what we're all about and what we're hoping to keep cultivating in Toronto and the world.

COMMUNITY HOSTS of #themotosociALTORONTO
A few years back, I bought my first bike, a 1972 Honda CB350 and my life has never been the same since. I tore it apart in my cold Toronto garage and rebuilt it from the ground up. That next riding season, I jumped head first into the amazing moto scene here in Toronto and made cool friends like Viktor, Sam and the crew at Town Moto. I’ve been truly inspired by the people I've met in the moto-community over the last few years and it's why I'm so stoked to be a part of #TheMotoSocial team now and bringing more amazing people together in Toronto.
I was born in Richards Bay, South Africa. A small town with a big harbour. I immigrated with my family to the Greater Toronto area in 2002. After attending Sheridan College for photography I moved into the city to work in the advertising industry. These days I enjoy documentary photography and look forward to opportunities where I might use my talents to enrich the lives of others. I recently took a Studio Manager position at “Neighbourhood Studio“ and look forward to helping my best friend build a business that challenges the status quo. I fancy myself a collector of experiences. I’ll try almost anything twice. I really believe Toronto is one of the best places to live on earth. It is a city built on the integration of communities from all over the world who largely share the same idea of inclusivity and accessibility. It’s no wonder Toronto is the birthplace of a movement like #TheMotoSocial. I am incredibly honoured to be apart of the team and look forward to bringing this city even closer. Also, motorbikes are the bomb. And I will ride all of them.
Owning and operating Moto Revere for the past few years has meant that I’m living and breathing bikes, community and helping people be the best bike owners they can be. A lot of my partner Peter and my ethos here at Moto Revere is mirrored and inspired by the awesome work everyone at #TheMotoSocial has done. I’m super excited to be joining the team to build good vibes and strong connections between the amazing people involved in the bike scene in Toronto. You really do meet the nicest people on bikes and #TheMotoSocial is all about bringing the best of them together! As a relatively new rider myself, I’m a walking billboard for finding and following your passion and I’m looking forward to meeting loads of new people and hearing about your dreams this year too.
I am a proud father, successful business owner, hopeful warrior against single-use plastics and self-admitted non-mechanic who loves to ride all the bikes! As a professional photographer and visual media artist in the advertising industry, I am grateful to be able to combine my two passions: photography and motorcycles. I once had the opportunity to do an assignment for TIME magazine - photographing portraits of top Japanese Executives working in Canada. One of them said he was beyond amazed at how such a large city like Toronto, with its variety of cultures and beliefs from around the world, could exist so harmoniously. His words had an impact on me and have continued to resonate with me throughout the years. I truly believe that Toronto’s unique and vibrant culture is mirrored in everything #TheMotoSocial stands for and continues to build upon: inclusion, diversity, and community. I am stoked to be part of the lead team with these like minded, free spirited and RAD people, and I look forward to further fostering the good vibes and camaraderie within our moto community.
